Don't Forget the Time!

Earlier today, I was somewhat surprised to find the time on my computer change from 1:59 AM to 1:00 AM. Then it dawned on me: it's Daylight Savings Time already in the UK! Daylight Savings is about a week earlier than it is in the US (it's November 1st this year), so now there is this awkward week when the UK is one hour fewer ahead of the US. While this change should not be too impactful, you should keep it in mind if you're for example scheduling calls, meetings, interviews with people based in countries like the US where Daylight Savings has not occurred yet. Otherwise, there will be that awkward moment when one person ends up being an hour late because he/she forgot that the time difference was one hour fewer. And trust me, it's happened to more people than you might imagine! Generally, this problem can be avoided though if you use online calendars or the calendar app on your phone, which can easily factor in the new time difference on the days leading up to Daylight Savings for the other countries.

I just wanted to make you all aware of this, so this blogpost is going to be quite short. Watch out for much longer ones in the future! In the meantime, enjoy this picture below that I found online of people adusting the stones at Stongehenge in preparation for Daylight Savings:
